BLOOD SAMPLES
Require a fasting period of 8 to 10 hours. In case you require a lipid profile, the fasting should be increased to 12 hours.
PAP SMEAR
Perform 5 days before or after menstruation, sexual abstinence for 48 hours. Normal cleaning.
URINE CULTURE
Normal cleanliness. Do not collect first urine stream, collect medical urine stream in sterile bottle, deliver to the laboratory within 1 hour.
URINE SAMPLES
It is recommended to collect the first urine of the morning in a sterile bottle, discard the first part of the urine and collect the rest.
PHARYNGEAL/NASAL
Assist in the morning without oral hygiene and fasting for 8 hours. Don't take antibiotics for a week. Do not smoked in the last 8 hours. Do not apply sprays of any kind in the nose.
FECAL SAMPLES
A sample the size of a walnut is sufficient. Deposit the sample in a sterile bottle and deliver to the laboratory within 1 day.
VAGINAL CULTURE
Normal cleanliness. Do not be menstruating. No creams, ointments, douches, or ova. Sexual abstinence for 48 hours.
