East Cape Health Center is more than a clinic. We are the health backbone of the Los Barriles area — comprehensive medical and dental services with an on-call emergency physician line, so many needs are met here without travel to La Paz or Cabo San Lucas.

Since its inception, East Cape Health Center has been a cornerstone for the community of Los Barriles. We provide high-quality medical and dental services — without the need to leave our town.
We are a registered Mexican nonprofit with 501c3 status in the United States, funded entirely by donations and driven by a team that genuinely cares about every patient who walks through our door.
Our bilingual team serves everyone: local Mexican families, expat residents, and tourists in need. For emergencies, call the on-call line; for visits, message us on WhatsApp to book an appointment.

Medical Team
Our doctors and nurses provide primary care urgent visits and chronic disease management in English and Spanish. When care needs exceed our facility we coordinate with hospitals in Los Cabos.

Dental Team
Patient kind care with special attention to children. Our dental team runs the More Smiles program serving hundreds of kids each year who would otherwise go without care.

Clinical Laboratory
More than one thousand laboratory tests available on-site with modern equipment and a specialized team focused on accuracy. Many panels return same-day so you and your doctor can act quickly.

Social assistance
When care is hard to afford
What this is: If paying for a visit, labs, or treatment would put your family in crisis, we may be able to reduce fees or cover part of your care through our social assistance program. The goal is simple — no one turned away only because they cannot pay. Eligibility depends on your situation; we review each case with respect and privacy.
Erika Amador, our assistance coordinator, stays in close, ongoing contact — not only walking you through options and paperwork the first day, but checking in across follow-up visits and messages so care does not stop when you walk out the door.

Hiring, schedules, and workplace questions. Same building, different desk — we spell it out so “HR” is not confusing on a health page.
