3 Easy Steps To Be Healthy

To have a healthy life is a personal goal and it is different for every person, while some people think they are healthy just because they're not sick and not because they do something to be healthy, others work day by day to improve their health.


There might be as many definitions of the word "health" as people in the world, but a very interesting definition is the one used by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP): "Health is a state of physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity ", and it is true! To be healthy means to feel good!


If being healthy is one of your goals, but you don't know where to start, you could read below 3 easy steps that will help you improve your health constantly.


1) Sleep enough ; When it comes about sleeping, quality and quantity are both important, it is indispensable to have an uninterrupted dream, the way you're going to work the next day depends very much on that.

Sleep is necessary to think clearly, react fastly, and to start our memory, the lack of sleep reflects in health issues, such as hypertension, heart conditions, among others, let's not forget the mood, depression and social problems.

The recommended sleeping time for an adult is from 7 to 9 hours per day, but never less than 6 hours.





2) A balanced diet ; To have a balanced diet helps to fulfill growing, energy and good health necessities, proper nutrition is one of the human's well-being basis.

Besides to obtain the energy to perform our activities, it helps us to maintain body temperature, it helps our nervous system to communicate correctly, it reduces the risk of certain diseases, furthermore, it helps to control diseases that already exist.

Nevertheless, to just eat is not enough, it is important to balance the food too to avoid conditions such as overweight, diabetes or cholesterol.





3) Physical activity ; Physical activity refers to any type of body movement that makes work the muscles, and that wastes more energy than just resting, and it is a significant part of a healthy routine.

Among the benefits of adding to your life a physical routine, you will find that it helps the pulmonary and cardiac system, it tones the muscle mass and it increases the muscle sizes, which will improve your movements agility, it burns calories and improves the self-esteem.

There are many types of physical activity for everybody's likes such as walking, running, dancing, swimming, yoga and all of them are great for your well-being.

To have a healthy life is not something that will be accomplished in one day or a week, it is a lifestyle that requires constant work but the recompense is priceless.
